Foreigner's Rights Upheld in Immigration Case
By Beach Times Staff

The Constitutional Court ruled favorably on Friday, on an appeal by a foreign national after he was given an appointment to renovate his residency documentation for 2010.

The man, named Corti, called the Immigration Department to request a visa renewal and was told his appointment would take place in eleven months.

The Court agreed the principles of efficiency required of a public institution had been breached, as well as the man's right to a prompt and effective service.
